Amethyst has a rich history back thousands of years. .In ancient times, it was used as a charm to ward off evil spirits, nightmares, and headaches.
The name “amethyst” is derived from the Greek word “amethystos,” meaning “not intoxicated.” In ancient Greece, it was believed that wearing amethyst or drinking from an amethyst cup would prevent drunkenness and protects against poisoning. It has gained popularity as a healing stone and also associated with promoting emotional balance, clarity of thought, and spiritual growth.Throughout history, amethyst has been associated with royalty and power. In ancient Egypt, amethyst was used in jewelry and adornments for pharaohs. The British Crown Jewels also contain several amethysts. It is mentioned in the Bible and holds religious significance in Christian symbolism as well.
Rose quartz has been used for thousands of years for various purposes and is known as the “stone of love” and the “heart stone” due to its associations with love, romance, and emotional healing. In Ancient Greece and Rome, rose quartz was associated with the goddess of love, Aphrodite.
The ancient Egyptians used rose quartz as a symbol of love and beauty. They believed that the stone could prevent aging and promote youthful vitality.
In the Middle Ages, rose quartz was used in alchemy to create love potions and elixirs. It was also believed to bring harmony and compassion to relationships and promote forgiveness. It is also used in feng shui to attract love and harmonize relationships.
In the 19th century it was used in Victorian-era jewelry designs.
